At the end of this process I really enjoyed my time at the Sunrise facility. I have a minor of gerontology so getting hands on experience with elders was very rewarding. Melissa, the activities coordinator, evaluated me in the end. She gave me all 5's, with no areas that need improvement. I really felt I helped her whenever she needed. I tried to be friendly and attentive to the elders. Receiving these scores in the end was nice because I put in a lot of effort to make sure I was attentive and helpful. To be rewarded in the end was nice. I would like to continue volunteering there when I can, because I did establish relationships with some of the residents. Overall this was a good experience for me.
